Cream together butter and sugars.

Add vanilla and eggs and beat until creamy.

Add salt, soda, and oatmeal, mix until well blended. Add flour one cup at a time.

Add chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake today’s cookies at 375 for about 8-10 minutes or until a light brown on a greased or parchment lined cookie sheet. You can also use a medium size scoop for the cookies. Then press them down slightly before baking.

Roll the rest in 1.5in diameter rolls and wrap in plastic wrap.

Store up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator or freezer.

Thaw 10-20 minutes.

Then slice and bake as above.
